Walk and Talk Coordinator Role

Do you enjoy walking and meeting new people?

The Sandringham Life Saving Club (SLSC) runs a Silver Salties program promoting physical activity and social connections for mature adults (60+years are the target audience) 

We run a variety of regular fitness classes at the clubhouse and are looking for a for an enthusiastic and social person to organise a free weekly social walk (Walk & Talk).  The walk would be about meeting new friends, improving fitness, and connecting with others socially. The idea would be to start the walk at the SLSC clubhouse and walk along the beach, the coastal paths, some weeks you can throw in an ‘away walk’ to mix things and explore the beautiful area of Bayside, and always end with coffee/tea afterwards at a local cafe.

Role:

The coordinator would be required to lead the walk each week, the SLSC would advertise the walk on our website and Facebook pages.

Time Required:

1 hour per week
